YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi on Monday expressed concern over lack of security to her son and party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Speaking to media persons after meeting her son at Nampally court, Vijayamma said the CBI officials had deliberately shifted Jagan from the jail to the court in an ordinary van meant for criminals despite knowing that he had Z category security and had a threat to his life.

“It appears my son has absolutely no security and safety in the CBI custody,” she said.

Vijayamma said Jagan had brought this to notice of the court, which had issued notices to the CBI and the Jails Department, seeking an explanation from them before June 14 as to why it had to bring him to the court in an ordinary van.

Meanwhile, Vijayamma reportedly told Jagan about the campaign trail and the kind of tremendous response she and her daughter Sharmila got for the campaign in the last 10 days. Jagan expressed satisfaction over their performance.
