Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu appears to have realised that his party is going to draw blank in the upcoming by-elections to 18 assembly seats and Nellore parliamentary seat scheduled to be held on June 12.
Naidu refused to predict the number of seats the party is going to get in the by-elections, when media persons asked him about the same.
“No, I am not going to make any guess on the by-polls. You will see the results for yourself,” he said, in a philosophical tone. He, however, hoped that his party would get good number of seats.
He said the TDP was contesting the by-elections only to educate the people about the corrupt politicians.
“Our party is fighting against two most corrupt political parties. The state would witness dangerous situation if YSR Congress party wins the elections,” he warned.
The TDP president said it was shameful on the part of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to give clean chit to his cabinet ministers in the Jagan case.
“The ministers had their share in Jagan’s corruption. The Chief Minister is trying to save them in order to save his seat,” he said.
