Editorial: 'Rosaiah's 'Impotency' Burning Andhra Pradesh'

He is known as the ‘Bheeshmacharya’ of Congress and he is not just a grand old man but also a package of wit, wisdom, humor and a master strategist. However, despite all his credentials, he seems to be taking a passive stand on few issues. He is our very own chief minister Rosiah and the reason for this talk is due to the Telangana agitation which is again showing its hood under the guidance of the uncivilized tongued leader K Chandrasekhar Rao and his TRS party.

Apparently, Rosiah has been silent over the ghastly remarks being made by KCR. The statement that YSR’s death is due to a curse of the Nallamala and alleging that the former CM’s approach towards Naxals is the reason should have been met with severe reactions from the CM but nothing happened. Some analysts say that this was a ploy of KCR to show a friendly sign towards the Maoists and win their support.

Secondly, sources reveal that Rosiah is seemingly dependent on Telangana veterans like Keshava Rao and V Hanumantha Rao. What the analysts say is that by giving due and serious attention to such ‘nirahaara deeksha’ and other antics of KCR, Rosiah is giving oxygen to trivial issues and lost cause (they add that this is what even VH and KKR want).

If it was YSR, he would have just laughed it off and advised KCR to go home and take rest as his health will get spoiled. He would also ask ‘Why KCR! Why didn’t you get votes in recent elections if you feel that people are serious about Telangana?”. Yes, KCR cannot get the thing by mercenary when he failed it with democracy.

To add to the woes, a good share of blame goes onto the people as well as they seem to have forgotten everything and got into the mood of protests and damaging government property which in turn will fall on their heads irrespective of whether Telangana comes or not. The political strategists and intellectuals affirm that unity is strength and urge that the masses, especially the youth must not get carried away by leaders like KCR who are bent upon sowing seeds of hatred between the Telugus just for their own political greed. They are also appealing to Rosiah to use his craft and handle this issue in a much better way than to give it due importance. He showed his ability to handle tough situations before and this is perhaps the time Rosiah tightens his Dhoti and reiterates why he is the chosen man from the High command to lead this state and save it from wily people like KCR.

It is also definite that Manda Krishna will show his drama very soon in a bigger tone than Telanagana turmoil. Communists will come into scene with their own style of protests. TDP may sit for niraharadeeksha demanding for arrest of YS Jagan. If Rosiah continues bowing his head for every headless issue, political strength of AP will burn into ashes. Rosaiah! Wake up before you sleep!!! Don’t let the state hate you for its pitiful fate for centuries to come.
