Old rivalries last long and the older you get the more vicious you become. Take a look at the rivalry between Karunanidhi the present CM of Tamil Nadu and Jayalalitha the ex CM and AIADMK chief. When Jayalalitha was the CM she dragged Karunanidhi to the courts and used excess police power to prove her point.
TV channels have shown images of these incidents then. Now the old man is not going to keep mum, in some Tamil dailies he is trying to high light the lesbian relationship which Jayalalitha supposedly has with her close aide Sasikala. The news is that Karunanidhi is trying to malign the image of the spinster lady. He wants the voter public to remember what a sinister the lady is. He is using the media effectively for this purpose.
Karunanidhi is also making sure that Jayalalitha comes in the open about her relationship with Sasi kala. It will be an interesting battle to watch the tussle between an old man and a haughty lady.
And a few months back Jayalalitha said about Murasoli Maran, the deceased nephew of Karunanidhi, "Maran is not such a pious man to make his statue erect in any corner of the state".
Responding to this in cool poetic way, Karunanidhi said through media, " A much known pious, chaste, pure lady is talking about Maran". That turned headlines in News Papers and even the journalists gushed out laughs when Karunanidhi said this in irony. The words 'pious', 'chaste' and 'pure' are used by him to bring sarcasm. It is gossiped that Jayalalita had affair with Sobhan Babu and then had lesbian relation with Sasikala and as open secret, she also had affair with MGR which is a part of history. Now Karunanidhi is not sitting quite but unearthing all these gossips again to malign the image of Jayalalitha as big as possible.
