TDP Need Not Boast Of Wins

Kurnool: Coming down heavily on TDP for its undemocratic, unethical and sly policy of horse trading in the MLC elections, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that people will teach a fitting lesson at an appropriate time as the party has been squandering away the ill-gotten wealth to buy public representatives with the single motive to win MLC seats.

“With due respect to the ethics and democratic values, we have fielded candidates only at places where our numbers are more and did not venture into areas where we do not have majority. But TDP has fielded candidates where it has no required numbers, engineered defections and lavishly used money power to win the seats in Prakasam and Kurnool,” he told reporters here on Tuesday.

While the Party is neck deep in trouble in Telangana as its involvement in the cash for vote in the MLC polls was ripped open exposing MLAs and top leadership, still Chandrababu Naidu has brazenly resorted to the same tactics in the State.

There is nothing to boast about the victory in Prakasam and Kurnool districts as money power played a major role along with the misuse of muscle power and police force to scuttle the resistance from our Party which was seen in the case of Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who arrested after foisting a false case.

“When there was a medical emergency, the government refused to shift him to NIMS on the pretext that we cannot shift him to the neighbouring Telangana state even though, Chandrababu stays, operates and has his Party headquarters in the neighboring state.

Bhuma Nagi Reddy is a cardiac patient and has other medical complications. Should anything happen to him, Chandrababu Naidu should be held responsible, he said.

Criticizing the way in which Nagi Reddy was arrested, he said; "police had tried provocative tactics and had behaved rudely with his daughter and MLA Akhila Priya. As a father when he came and questioned the officer who tried to push him away, Nagi Reddy said don’t touch me and it became an offense and a case under SC ST Atrocities was slapped on him so that he cannot even apply for bail.

This is a planned assault and Nagi Reddy was deprived of proper medical treatment. If anything happens to him, the State Government should take the blame,” he said adding that TDP will not be in power for ever and its wrong deeds will haunt the Party.

Earlier, he had visited the local Government hospital and talked to Bhuma Nagi Reddy who was undergoing treatment there.
