NRIs Ramesh and Sailaja donate for Pennsylvania Police development

On November 17, 2014, during the Upper Providence Township meeting in Collegeville, Pennsylvania; all the delegates are surprised and overwhelmed by hearing the huge donation from one of their local residents.

Dr. Ramesh Eluri and Mrs. Sailaja Adluru has been staying in Upper Providence Township for last 2 decades and donated thousands of Dollars for the purpose of equipping all the local police squad cars with advanced tracking and GPS systems/ installation and maintenance for 4 yrs, which helps them to trace their area more quickly and efficiently, and protect the residents.

Most prominent people graced this historic event along with who's who from our Indo- American Community. Lisa Mossie,Chairwoman of the Upper Providence Board of Directors; and Mark Toomney, Chief of Police chaired this event.

Mark Toomey graciously accepted the check and quoted, "we are fortunate to have this wonderful couple in our community who is always willing to show their support and commitment in need". 

Lisa appreciated and thanked the couple on behalf of all the residents in Upper Providence Township for their gesture and generosity to serve our community better.

"In my 37 yrs of service, I haven't seen any couple who is willing to donate huge amount for our police department", said Mark Toomney. I am moved with Dr. Ramesh and Sailaja for such kind heartedness.

"I and my wife, Sailaja are immigrants from India and blessed with two wonderful children, who are American Citizens. We moved to this land of opportunities, USA 3 decades ago and never felt as if we missed our home. This is all because of the wonderful gift, people of our community in Upper Providence Township", said Dr. Ramesh Eluri.

He is always inspired by Mother Teresa’s famous quote "It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving”.

"We gained lot of respect, professionalism and enthusiasm from this community, and we thought that it's time for us to pay back to our community where we earned enough" said Sailaja.

Sailaja, who is an active volunteer gains lot of respect from local community for her commitment, and willingness to serve people on various Domestic Violence and Social issues.

She is always inspired by Mahatma Gandhiji's famous quote, "Be the change you wish to see in the world"

Ms. Ruth Damsker, former Commissioner of Montgomery County said appreciated Dr. Eluri's family for their generous and heartfelt gesture to step forward and donate funds to equip the police squad cars, which was important as we foresee budget cuts.

"They have not made only the donation, but also put their lives for the protection of the residents of the community they serve" said Ms Ruth.

Dr. Jainder Reddy, Dr. Bhaskar Raju, Dr. Ravi Rallapalli, Sai Vuyyuru, Srikanth Segireddy, Suresh Reddy Venkannagari TAGDV ,Ramesh Konduru, Ram Duggireddy, Nishanth Eluri, Srilatha Sangaraju, Pranavi Chamarti and Nithisha Eluri attended this event and inspired by Eluri's family donation.
