NATS Baalala Sambaraalu in Washington DC became a Grand success

With an exciting environment created by more than 200 children with packed auditorium with 1000 audience at Eleanor Roosevelt High school, NATS celebrated Baalala Sambaralu in Washington DC area. NATS Washington DC Chapter organized this event on a grand scale which received tremendous response.

Several dignitaries and prominent people - Swami Chidatmanandji-Chinmaya Mission, Mr.Sekhar Narasimhan- Member of the President Obama’s Advisory Commission for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, Mr.Asim Mishra (from White House)-Chief of Staff at the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS),  Mr.Pavan Bezawada- Commissioner at Maryland Governor’s commission on South Asian American Affairs has graced this event and appreciated NATS Service initiatives in U.S.A and India and congratulated NATS for being the first Indian organization to run a 24 hours helpline (1-888-4-TELUGU and www.natsworld.org). They lauded NATS for conducting Kid’s events on the eve of Children’s day across various cities every year. 

Also, Citations were received from Maryland Governor Mr. Martin J. O'Malley,and Assistant Secretary of State Nisha Desai Biswal.

Ravi Achanta-President NATS, Mohana Krishna Mannava-VicePresident NATS attended the event and expressed their happiness to be part of this magnificent event. Other NATS leaders that attended include - Ramesh Nuthalapati – NATS Career Assistance Chair, Ranjit Chaganti - NATS NJ coordinator, Srihari Mandadi – NATS Social Media Chair, Vishnu Aluru – NATS Career Assistance Co Chair, Vamsi Venigalla – NATS Social Media, Srinivas Venkat – NATS Events NJ also attended the event. Also, NATS Board and Executive Committee sent their wishes to NATS DC metro chapter team. Mr.Rao Linga and Manikya Linga coordinated and lead the event on behalf of NATS DC chapter.

Also, several other dignitaries and community leaders have graced the event to show their strong support for this children’s event, which was exclusively led by the youth. NATS DC Chapter recognized and honored community leaders Mrs. Krishanveni  

Vedula Sarma and Dr. G.V.V Rao for their selfless services to the children. Classical dances, Classical music and singing, Tollywood and Bollywood dances were showcased by the youth.  Several competitions were conducted that include essay writing, painting and art work.

The following NATS Washington DC Team - Rao Linga, Lakshmi Linga, Jayashree Pedhibotla, Vani sobhan, Madhavi Doddi, Jyothi Basavaraju, Sanjeev Naidu, Srini Rampalli, HarikaPedhibotla,  Sandeep Linga, Radhika Guntur, Kavitha Yanigandla, Ashok Anmalsetty, Jyothi boppana, Desai Sidhabathula, Giri Reddy, Amar Modalavalasa, Subbarayudu Jakkampudi,Swathi penugonda, Annapurna Venuthurupalli, Prasad Yanigandla, Mekhla Stanton, Padmini Nidumolu and Nanda worked very hard to make this event a memorable one for the children, youth and adults and they thanked all the community for their support.

NATS Children’s day celebrations in Washington DC were overwhelmingly grand success. The energetic NATS DC team promised to bring more creative projects and especially work for the next generation youth and strongly support  NATS vision…”Be the premier service-oriented national Telugu organization in North America”. The event ended with scrumptious dinner provided by Minerva Restaurant and the day ended with a positive and energetic spirit.
