KCR's help for tribal girl to become pilot

Hyderabad: A few days after extending financial assistance to a Muslim woman pilot for her advanced training, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday announced help for a tribal girl to fulfil her dream to become a pilot.

the chief minister has sanctioned Rs.28,09,815 to Ajmeera Bobby for commercial pilot's license training at Dean International Flying School in Florida (US).

The financial assistance includes tuition fee, travel, living and other expenses for the girl hailing from backward Adilabad district.

She will become the first tribal girl from Telangana to get a commercial pilot's license.

The chief minister on March 24 had sanctioned Rs.35.5 lakh for Syeda Salva Fatima for advanced training.

Fatima, who hails from poverty-stricken old city of Hyderabad, is one of the few Muslim women to hold a commercial pilot's license.

Daughter of a bakery owner, she was looking for help to undergo multiengine and type rating training to become eligible for a job in an airline.
