'Bifurcation Should Have Happened 3 Years Back'

Even as the people of Seemandhra are getting used to the idea of a new state and to the fact that they will have to develop their region in the coming years, various issues are popping up which need to be addressed immediately.

Union minister Venkaiah Naidu says that Seemandhra will have to address multiple issues like revenue deficit, development of a new capital city and a plethora of other infrastructural and functional issues.

Naidu expressed the opinion that had the UPA government taken a firm decision on bifurcation three years ago, it would have helped the region tremendously.

He blamed the Congress government for creating the problems that Seemandhra was facing presently.

After revealing that the AICC President Sonia Gandhi had written a letter to Modi regarding Seemandhra, Venkaiah said that Congress lost badly in both regions as people lost confidence in the party.

He opined that if the Congress had addressed the issues in both the regions three years back, it would not have lost so badly. Naidu finally reiterated that both Telangana and Seemandhra were important for the BJP government.
