All Is Well With Law And Order In Hyd

Governor ESL Narsimhan, who is on a three-day official tour of the national capital on Monday said the law and order situation was under control in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States.

The Governor, who called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh soon after he landed in New Delhi told the waiting mediapersons that it was a routine meeting.

“The law and order situation is good and there is no problem as of now”, he maintained.

Both the Telugu states are vying with each other for development with various schemes, he said. The Governor also said the two States were doing well and any problems related to Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act will be resolved through discussions, he remarked.

The Governor’s remarks assume importance as Chief Ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu met twice at Raj Bhavan and tried to iron out the issues.

The Governor is understood to have discussed with Rajnath Singh on the controversial turned issues like sharing of irrigation waters, power, bifurcation of officials, bifurcation of the high court as well as APSRTC.

He is likely to call on President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Union ministers.

It is expected that the Governor of the two States may touch upon the issues related to Telangana and AP and seek their cooperation and funds for speedy completion of projects like Polavaram, special status and package being sought by AP Government, release of funds for new capital city at Amaravathi, national status to Pranahitha-Chevella and schemes like water grid, Mission Kakatiya and release of taxes from Central pool to the States for rapid growth and progress.
