Is YSRCP Congress in tandem with the decision of proposed Rayala Telangana?
Though nothing is being officially voiced, the party leaders feel that the formation of Rayala Telangana will actually help the party as it will strengthen their stand in both the states.
However, they are clear that the party’s first priority was and will be Samaikyandhra. In the face of bifurcation, some of the YSRCP leaders feel that the party will get to gain from the formation of Rayala Telangana.
Already, YSRCP has a good standing in the Seemandhra region. If Kurnool and Anantapur go to Telangana, the number of seats are bound to reduce. But they will still manage to get into power, feel many of the senior party leaders.
They feel the new development will give an answer to people who say that YSRCP has no standing in the Telangana region.
One party leader has analysed that their party will secure maximum number of seats in Kurnool and Anantapur. He predicts that the party will manage to get some seats in Mahbubnagar, Khammam, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Medak, enabling it to play a key role in the politics of the assembly of Rayala Telangana.
The new alignment will not only mean uniting Telangana and Rayalseema regions geographically, but will also result in a good mix of castes, there by enhancing their chances in the forthcoming elections, feel the party leaders.
