Will YSRCP Exit First Or Will It Be TDP?

YSRCP is over in Telangana. Jagan’s party has to shut shop in Telangana. These are some of the comments that have been making rounds in media circles of late.

It has been widely reported that post bifurcation, YSRCP had nominal presence in Telangana assembly and since it boasts of just one MP in the state, out of its three MLAs it had one was joining TRS.

Media also reported that YSRCP leaders in Telangana did not have the energy and interest they had in the past.

While it might be true, coming to YSRCP exiting Telangana, many feel TDP might give stiff competition to Jagan’s party by losing its base faster.

It is being said that though TDP had better presence in Telangana, the present situation is such that it might exit quicker than YSRCP.

Though TDP has 13 MLAs in state assembly, only one of them is vocal. And nearly 5-6 MLAs are getting ready to jump into TRS. If that happens, TDP will have its strength cut by half in Telangana.

Leaders like Tummala who have been with TDP for decades are also moving into TRS. Given this scenario, political analysts wonder about the party’s future and if it would manage to survive.

Meanwhile, TDP leaders have been claiming that they are trying to build a strong base in Andaman. By having their presence in three states, they intend to be declared a national party very soon.

While their plans for Andaman cannot be questioned, many feel they must first work at retaining their presence in Telangana. However, for now, TDP and YSRCP are running neck to neck in terms of exiting from Telangana. Wonder who will make it first!
