Some time back, the leaders of Telangana had made a huge issue and announced that they will soon drain out Hussian Sagar and clean the bed. But a few months down the line, everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten about the project.
One is not sure if they realized how humungous the task is going to be or if there is paucity of funds. Either ways, looks like the project has been put on hold for some time.
Recently, KCR announced that a new lake will be created near Indira Park and that Ganesh immersion will take place in it. But there is no news on it either.
Pradeep Chandra, MD of Hyderabad Metro Development Authority which takes care of Hussain Sagar said they were presently busy with the task of diverting inflow from the naalas that drain into the now-famous lake.
It would be best if T government announces feasible projects instead of making announcements as and when it thinks of something.
