Who is CM? YSR or Naidu?

Alleging that ruling Telugu Desam party for “trying to throttle the voice” of the Opposition, Leader of the Opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy today lambasted Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao for denying him mike to speak on the budget.

“We will not hesitate to move a “No-Confidence Motion” against the Speaker if the undemocratic situation continues unabated”, he said.

Addressing the media at YSRCPLP chambers here after the Speaker adjourned the House for the day, Jagan criticized the ruling party for cutting abruptly the mike 17 times when he sought to speak on people’s issues. Such an incident has never happened in the history of India so far, he remarked.

Taking a dig at the ruling party, Jagan said there is confusion in the House whether his father YSR was Chief Minister or N Chandrababu Naidu.

The government had given telecast coverage rights to ABN Andhrajyothy which was confined to show only the ruling party leaders, he alleged.

“The people want to listen to our voice being throttled by the ruling party. The TDP has to apologize to people if it cannot follow democratic norms”, he thundered.

Jagan commented that targeting the previous YSR Government often is of no use.

He sought to know why TDP has no patience to listen to the Opposition voice on people’s issues.

He took strong exception to the Speaker denying mike and TDP leaders often criticize late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

Demanding revocation of suspension of two YSRCP members, Jagan accused the TDP of showing partisan attitude towards his party, the only opposition in the Assembly.

With 67 members, the YSRCP needs at least 40 per cent of time in the Assembly, he said, adding that the people will teach them a lesson if they failed to mend their ways, he warned
