When There's No Breast Milk, Take Powder Milk!

When There's No Breast Milk, Take Powder Milk!

How can a newly-born baby be fed, if the mother cannot give her breast milk? The only option for her is to feed the baby with powder milk.

Well, that is what the Centre has done with Andhra Pradesh. It has no chance of granting special category status to the newly-born Andhra Pradesh; so, it has given special financial package to the state to sustain. If special category status is mother’s milk, then special package is powder milk.

This strange comparison was made by actor-turned-Telugu Desam Party MP from Chittoor N Sivaprasad. Known for his strange make-ups and dramatic appearances in Parliament, Sivaprasad had created a lot of nuisance in the House while raising the issue of special category status in the Parliament in the past.

But with the Centre denying special category status and granting only special packae and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu accepting the same, Sivaprasad has no option but to defend the same.

He told media in a philosophical tone: “Just like a mother who can’t breast-feed her baby, the Centre too has not able to give special status to the state. Instead, it gave a special package like the mother giving powder milk to the baby.”
