“How can we create miracles in just four months? We are not Sathya Sai Baba to materialize Vibhuti (sacred ash) at will,” said Etela Rajender, finance minister of Telangana.
He further added, “Even though the State has been divided, Chandrababu Naidu is continuing to plague our region. He has deliberately created a power crisis in Telangana so that all the industries shift to Andhra. The T-TDP instead of speaking nonsense should question Naidu as to why he is not giving Telangana, its due share of 54% electricity according to the AP Reorganization Act. On the one hand, Andhra does not give electricity to Telangana, on the other all their offices and properties in Hyderabad enjoy Telangana water and electricity. We will stop the supply of electricity and water to all Andhra offices and properties in Hyderabad. Writing to the Center and asking them to restrain Telangana from electricity generation at Srisailam power project is nothing but a conspiracy.”
Etela Rajender would be better off remembering that the people of Telangana are not expecting any miracles, just a fulfillment of promises.
Was it not KCR who said that Telangana would become self-sufficient within two and a half months of the formation of the new State?
