VH Lends Support To Mudragada

Stating that BCs will not be affected with the provision of reservation to the Kapus, Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has justified the indefinite hunger strike of Kapu leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham.

Extending solidarity to Mudragada Padmanabham’s deeksha, Hanumantha Rao visited Mudragada’s residence here at Kirlampudi in East Godavari district and staged a protest. However, police personnel obstructed him from entering the residence of Mudragada.

Speaking to the media later, VH said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who had assured Kapus of reservation before elections, was now provoking BCs against Kapus.

On the other hand, some Kapu leaders at Amalapuram, sat on Deeksha extending support to Mudragada’s hunger strike.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu held an emergency meeting with BC Commission Chairman Manjunatha in view of Mudragada Deeksha. Chandrababu also had a meeting with Minister Ganta Srinivas, Kapu Corporation Chairman Ramanjaneyulu and with others.

TDP MP Avanthi Srinivas said they were not coming on to the roads because they were in the government and made it clear that Kapu issue will not be solved immediately.
