Venkayya Naidu is now speaking about certain flaws in the 'AP Re-Organization Bill' and the need to amend them.
Only God knows how long this exercise is going to take as TRS would obviously try and stall any major amendments to the Bill.
One can still recall Venkayya Naidu in the Rajya Sabha during the bifurcation making a slew of promises to AP including ‘special status’ to AP, special package for Rayalaseema and North Andhra, Polavaram project and getting more than a dozen central institutions to AP.
The same Minister is now strangely silent on all these issues and merely paying lip-service whenever the topic is broached!
In fact, the amendments that Venkayya Naidu is concerned about relate only to altering the number of Rajya Sabha seats and increasing the number of MLC’s and nothing to do with the welfare of AP!
