Venkaiah Mediates Between Naidu, KCR

Union minister for urban development M Venkaiah Naidu seems to be interested in having best of both the worlds – Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

He is willing to negotiate between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu to resolve contentious issues between the two states.

Venkaiah told media on Sunday that both the new States should resolve their problems amicably across the table.

“It would be good for both the States to solve their problems by holding discussions and concentrate on people’s welfare and developmental works”, he said.

He advised Naidu and KCR to sit together to resolve the disputes between the two States.

“The two States are bound to have disputes over several issues. However, the same could be resolved through discussions. The Centre would not differentiate or show favouritism towards any State including Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

He made it clear that the rules for waiver of farm loans for other States would be applicable to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and they would not get any special treatment from the Centre.
