Turmeric water vs cow urine in Amaravati!

Turmeric water vs cow urine in Amaravati!

The visit of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the capital region of Amaravati to call on farmers affected by land acquisition has triggered an interesting battle: between turmeric water and cow urine.

Reacting strongly to Jagan’s tour in some of the villagers in the capital region and his comments against the Chandrababu Naidu government, the Telugu Desam Party activists on Saturday tried to conduct a cleansing programme near the temporary secretariat with turmeric water. They even tore down the flex posters of Jagan put up as part of his yatra.

The police remained mute spectators, as the TDP leaders were going on with cleansing programme and raising slogans against Jagan.

In retaliation, YSRCP activists too took out a rally and cleansed the places visited recently by Chandrababu Naidu with cow dung water and cow urine. They alleged that ever since Naidu came to power, farmers have been put to a lot of troubles. They lost their livelihood and their lives have become worse than cattle, they said.

Interestingly, the same police tried to stop YSR Congress party cadre from protesting saying that they had no permission. The party workers wondered why the police allowed the TDP cadre to protest without permission.
