TRS spent Rs 1,000 cr on Operation Akarsh?

Believe it or not, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi had spent nearly Rs 1,000 crore on luring leaders and cadres of various Opposition parties in the last one year.

This was alleged by Telugu Desam Party flood leader in the Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Thursday.

He said the ruling TRS had used all tricks to weaken the Opposition parties in the State. Apart from threatening and intimidating the Opposition leaders, including MLAs and MLCs, the TRS leadership had virtually bought them by spending nearly Rs 1,000 crore in the name of “Operation Akarsh,” he said.

Errabelli said while over 2,000 distressed farmers committed suicide in the State, the TRS government has shown the figure at 350.

The ruling party was trying to fool the people for votes in the GHMC elections by showing samples of double bedroom houses, he said, adding that KCR would forget his recent promise of waiving water bills after the GHMC elections.

Referring to remarks of Director General of Police that crime rate in the State has come down, Errabelli said it was wrong.

Alleging that the TRS government has failed on all fronts during the year, Errabelli said in the entire year the government wasted precious time just by redesigning irrigation projects and failed to control prices of essential commodities.
