TRS rule: 100 lies in 100 days

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Tuesday dubbed the 100-day rule of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as completion of 100 lies.

Talking to mediapersons after releasing a CD on KCR’s 100 days’ rule comprising 100 lies at Gandhi Bhavan, the TPCC chief accused the TRS government of miserably failing to keep the promises, including crop loan waiver.

Despite completion of 100 days of rule, KCR Government could not fulfil a single promise, he charged.

Alleging that the TRS Government was indulging in deceptive tactics, Ponnala sought to know why the government did not release adequate funds towards much hyped crop loan waiver.

He said farmers are still awaiting immediate succor, but the government was least bothered.

The Congress leader expressed serious concern over the unabated suicides of farmers which can be attributed to the failure of the government. Had the Chief Minister created confidence among them, the farmers would not have resorted to extreme steps, he opined. Though, the government was making tall claims, it has done nothing on education, power, agriculture, health, irrigation and other fronts.

Though welfare and developmental programs need sizeable amount of money, the TRS government cannot pool that money at all, he said, adding that KCR came to power only by making false promises.

The Chief Minister now seems to be in a quandary as he cannot find ways to tide over the power crisis despite release of adequate funds. The Government faces daunting issues which need a focused view and plan, he added.
