TRS and MIM have been maintaining cordial relations ever since TRS chief K.Chandrasekhar Rao became Chief Minister last year.
The party used to oppose TRS during Telangana statehood agitation. But after AP was bifurcate and KCR became CM of Telangana, Owaisi brothers moved closer to KCR and TRS.
KCR too strengthened the bond with them by giving Owaisi brothers his appointment whenever they wanted while even TRS ministers, MLAs and other leaders are struggling to get his appointment.
All predicted that TRS-MIM friendship bond was because of GHMC elections.
But KCR all of a sudden gave a twist recently by saying that TRS would fight GHMC elections on its own and there will be no tie-ups with any party.
He even went on to say that TRS would easily bag over 80 wards out of total 150 in GHMC limits based on the surveys he got it done.
However, political analysts say that TRS is 'over estimating' its strength in GHMC ignoring the fact that it never won even a single ward in GHMC elections earlier.
What party insiders debate is that while KCR himself had urged all TRS leaders and cadre not to get Warangal bypoll win into their head and remain graceful and obedient, he himself turned 'over confident'.
They say his over-confidence would benefit TDP-BJP combine in city while both TRS and MIM would suffer.
