Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that with no real contribution to Hyderabad, TRS party bigwigs are using their ill-gotten wealth to carryout false propaganda in GHMC elections. The only contribution of TRS party to Hyderabad is pink hoardings, he said.
Addressing different election meetings in Uppal, Ramanthapur, Chilkanagar and other wards on Thursday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said TRS was indulging in false propaganda by erecting flexes on metro rail pillars with the pictures of projects sanctioned and largely built under previous Congress regime.
Their only contribution to Metro Rail is delaying the project by 18 months. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao delayed the project on the grounds of changing route alignment. But now he has gone back to the same alignment designed and approved by Congress Government, he said.
“Through their pink hoardings and other publicity material, TRS is falsely claiming credit for projects sanctioned and works which progressed during Congress Government. They include bringing Godavari and Krishna River water to Hyderabad, Metro Rail project, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Nehru Outer Ring Road, PVNR Expressway and all other major landmarks development activities. TRS is falsely claiming credit for these projects while all of them were taken up by the previous Congress regime," he said.
