Of late, Pawan Kalyan has been requesting the government not to invoke the Land Acquisition Act, but the TDP has gone ahead.
Pawan said that forcible acquisition of land from the farmers is not good for society. To this, the TDP says that farmers are giving their lands willingly. And here’s the thing.
Villagers from ‘Bethapudi’ have held a protest against Pawan Kalyan saying that nobody has forced them to give up their lands.
“We have given our lands voluntarily for the new State. Pawan Kalyan need not do anything for us but we request him to not hamper the construction of the new capital of AP,” said the farmers.
One can understand farmers saying that they have given their lands willingly. But asking Pawan not to impede the development of ‘Navya Andhra Pradesh’ seems to be a bit too much, almost like a political statement.
It would come as no surprise if they were motivated by the TDP to hold this protest.
