One can understand KCR taking credit for the formation of Telangana to a certain extent but saying that he got the ‘Metro Rail Project’ to Hyderabad is a bit too much to digest.
The approval for the metro rail project was given in 2003 itself by the Union Ministry.
Bhoomi Puja (shankusthapana) for the project was conducted on 26 April 2012 [14] the concessionaire started the pillar erection on the same day for Stage-I and on 6 June 2012 for Stage-II.
KCR has nothing to do with the project being given to Hyderabad. In fact, if anything, he and his Party can be credited with being responsible for stalling the project with their agitation and stalling it again after bifurcation by trying to appease MIM as regards re-alignment of the route in the Old City.
No wonder the Congress Party which cleared the Metro project is mad at KCR.
