Telangana doesn't need Naidu sympathy!

Deputy CLP leader in Legislative Assembly T Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday said that the Telangana State does not need the sympathy of AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party office here, Jeevan Reddy rejected the offer made by Naidu to provide 300 MW of power to Telangana.

He said Telangana State needs its due share and not sympathies from Naidu. He said if Naidu was really serious then he should ensure that Telangana gets its share of 54 per cent of power generated at Krishnapatnam project.

Further, Jeevan Reddy dismissed the controversy going on with regard to Srisailam Project.

He said Srisailam project was mainly aimed at power generation and not to meet irrigation or drinking water needs. Therefore, the Telangana State has every right to generate power from Srisailam project.

He advised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to take the opposition parties into confidence to overcome the ongoing crisis.
