Congress MLC Prabhakar on Thursday demanded that the Telangana government immediately remove Legislature Secretary Dr Raja Sadaram from the post as he misused funds and misguided Assembly Speaker S Madhusudana Chary and Council Chairman Swamy Goud during Commonwealth programme in Australia.
Talking to mediapersons here on Thursday, Prabhakar alleged that Dr Raja Sadaram misused public money to the tune of Rs 10 lakh on his Australia trip though there was no need for him to attend the Commonwealth programme.
He said actually, Raja Sadaram wanted to meet his sons staying in Australia and accompanied the presiding officers of the Assembly and Council to the meeting in violation of norms.
The Congress leader also sought to know in what capacity the Legislature Secretary can attend such a meeting of international repute. Though there was no official invitation, Sadaram wrote a letter of intention to participate in the meeting and made misuse of the opportunity, he alleged.
Prabhakar demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao remove Raja Sadaram and deny him extension. There was a need for an efficient and honest official, he said. If KCR wants, he can appoint Raja Sadaram as an officer on special duty, he suggested.
