TDP Leaders Looted Rs 2,500 Crore Sand In AP!

TDP Leaders Looted Rs 2,500 Crore Sand In AP!

The claims of AP Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu on TDP government achieving huge revenue of Rs 500 crore to AP through sale of land turned controversial.

Opposition parties question these claims stating that as per the sand rates increased by AP government, it should earn a revenue of Rs 3,000 crore but got only Rs 500 crore, which proves beyond doubt that the balance Rs 2,500 crore went into the pockets of CM and his coterie.

YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that TDP government has increased sand price from Rs 40 per cubic metre to Rs 600, which amounts to 17-fold increase.

"Going by this, the government has to earn Rs 3,000 crore, while it got only Rs 500 crore. Despite this, the TDP government is shamelessly boasting of earning huge revenues through sale of sand. The sand sale fetched huge revenues only for TDP leaders and not government. They looted over Rs 2,500 crore," Ambati alleged.

He also came down heavily at union minister Venkaiah Naidu for his remarks that 'special status' to AP can be achieved only through political consensus.

"Are you not aware of this before 2014 elections when you and Modi promised special status to AP. Now you are trying to find various excuses to cover up your inefficiency in according special status to AP," Ambati remarked.

He said the TDP government was forging false cases against YSRCP leaders and the recent cases booked against MP Mithun Reddy and MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy are an ample proof for this.
