TDP Cautious On Pawan Visit

The Telugu Desam Party has sought to react cautiously on the visit of Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan to some villages of Guntur district, instead of coming out with a wild reaction. Apparently, Naidu has decided to adopt wait and watch approach on Pawan’s moves.

TDP spokesman Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu on Thursday said his party did not see any bad intentions behind Pawan Kalyan’s visit to new capital site of Andhra Pradesh. He said the government would clear all doubts, if any, of Pawan on the new capital.

On the new capital city, Muddu said land for the proposed capital was acquired with the consent of the farmers and there was either any lathicharge or police firing while taking over the lands. He reminded that during YSR regime lands were acquired forcibly and six persons were killed in Sompeta and Kakarpalli in police firing.

Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Administration Narayana, who has been overseeing the land pooling process, welcomed “Jana Sena” president Pawan Kalyan’s visit to new capital site.

Narayana, however, said some leaders are provoking farmers. He welcomed Pawan Kalyan, who visited some of villages to know the problems of farmers of Undavalli, Betapudi, Erraballi and Tulluru villages which come under the jurisdiction of the proposed new capital city.
