Talasani Blames It On Speaker!

Talasani Blames It On Speaker!

Lashing out at the Opposition parties for crying foul on his resignation, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today warned them of dire consequences if they failed to stop mud-slinging against him.

Talking to mediapersons at the Secretariat here on Tuesday, Yadav clarified that he had submitted his resignation letter to MLA post to the Speaker on December 16 last and S Madhusudana Chary has to take a final call as per procedure.

“I am ready to face by-election from Sanathnagar and let TD leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao or any other leader face me in fray” he challenged.

He also warned that he would reveal misdeeds of the Opposition leaders, including Shabbir Ali and Gandra Venkataramana Reddy of the Congress, who are in the illegal sand business in the city and in many irregularities.

The minister faulted them for not raking up the issue when defections took place during YSR regime.

He also sought to know why they cannot complain to the Governor on the defections by leaders like SPY Reddy, K Geetha, R Padma Raju, K Satyanarayana Raju, Verma and others. Democracy and Acts are same for all, he said.

“The resignation issue is under the purview of the Speaker and I cannot say anything”, he said, adding that “he was ready to face elections anytime”.

The minister asserted that he has respect for Parliamentary democracy and its procedures and I abide by the decision of the Speaker.

Yadav ridiculed the Opposition leaders for complaining to Governor ESL Narasimhan and making derogatory comments like “cheat” and “420” against him.

He slammed Telugu Desam leader Revanth Reddy, who is a ‘thief’ and was caught red handed in “cash-for- vote” case.
