In a strategic move to fix the rebel MLAs, the Telangana Congress party on Wednesday issued whip to all its MLAs in connection with the Appropriation Bill likely to be discussed and passed in Telangana Legislative Assembly on November 28.
The whip was issued by the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) to all 22 MLAs who were elected on Congress ticket in last Assembly elections. They include Vithal Reddy, Redya Naik, Kanakaiah and Yadaiah who defected to the TRS.
Although the whip is presently silent on voting on Appropriation Bill, it asked all the MLAs to be present in the House during the discussion on Appropriation Bill.
According to sources, the Congress is most likely to insist on division during the voting on Appropriation Bill while asking its legislators to vote against it. If the rebel MLAs disobeys it, then the Congress would file disqualification petition against them for violation of whip.
