Ever since he has taken over as the CM of Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy has been besieged with problems on all sides.
Whether it was contending with the 42 day ‘Sakala Janula Samme’, the Jagan revolt or the cunning antics of Botsa Sathyanarayana who fancied his chances of becoming the Chief Minister of Seemandhra, it has not been an easy ride for Kiran.
Yet, he has carried on gamely, refusing to bow into the blackmail tactics of the Telangana Ministers or the complete lack of support from his own cabinet.
He never allowed the law and order situation to go out of hand and spearheaded the movement to reject the T-bill in the assembly successfully.
In fact, the turmoil during his reign has completely overshadowed his development works, which were significant enough for the ‘India Today ‘group to award him as the ‘Best CM of India’, recently.
Kiran’s hurrah at Delhi might well be his final one, but there is no denying the fact that the nuisance in the form of the T-agitation has definitely distracted the State from benefitting from the services of an excellent and able administrator.
Telangana’s loss today will definitely prove to be Seemandhra’s gain tomorrow in the form of Kiran.
