Minister for Infrastructure and Investments Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Saturday exuded confidence that the Congress high command would not dare sack Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy under any circumstances.
Speaking to the media, Ganta said Kiran was championing the cause of Samaikyandhra and he had earned a lot of regard among the people.
“I don’t think the Congress leadership would not dare sack Kiran at this stage, as he had done no mistake. He has only been highlighting the ill-effects of bifurcation,” he said.
Ganta said that the A P Reorganization Bill – 2013 would not be passed in the Parliament even though it got the nod of the union cabinet.
He reminded that all the national parties, including BJP, were opposing the bill. He also blamed the Group of Ministers (GoM) for taking unilateral decisions.
The Minister felt that it was not proper for the union cabinet to approve the bill which was rejected by the State Legislative assembly.
He clarified that he would think whether to continue in the Congress party or not only after a clear picture had emerged on the Telangana bill.
