According to the draft master plan submitted by Singapore to the government of Andhra Pradesh, Singapore will construct the core administrative buildings free of cost in the new capital region.
In return, they want to be given land equal to the cost of construction, for the purpose of real estate. This will work out to around ten thousand acres on which the Singapore companies (with their local partners) will develop commercial, entertainment, residential zones etc.
It wouldn’t come as a surprise if the local partners tomorrow turn out to be exclusively from Naidu’s community. Can Naidu not get the Raj Bhavan, Secretariat etc constructed in a proper fashion by Indian companies?
Did Singapore construct the Secretariat, Assembly etc in Hyderabad? Why give it to Singapore and why lose out on 10,000 acres?
Outsourcing the work to Indian companies will ensure that the government can keep the 10,000 acres! The whole thing stinks! It is clearly a scam!
