Singapore Camp For YSRC MLAs

Singapore Camp For YSRC MLAs

YSR Congress party candidate for Rajya Sabha elections V Vijay Sai Reddy has plunged into action immediately after filing his nomination papers to keep his flock together.

Following reports that Telugu Desam Party president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to field a fourth candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections by engineering further split in the YSR Congress party MLAs so as to defeat Sai Reddy, the latter is learnt to have decided to send all the party MLAs to Singapore till the process for RS polls is completed.

If the TDP does not field a fourth candidate, Sai Reddy would feel relieved, but if a fourth TDP candidate files his papers, it does mean some of the YSR Congress party MLAs had already been lured by Naidu. So, Sai Reddy is taking enough care that all the MLAs would stay put in Singapore till the polling day on June 11.

He would make every effort to identify the black sheep among them and bring pressure on them to stay back in the party.

It remains to be seen whether this camp politics will work out for Sai Reddy or Naidu will succeed in purchasing more MLAs. At present, YSRC has 50 MLAs and it requires 44 MLAs to win the RS seat.
