The delegation from Singapore led by S Iswaran, Second Minister for Trade and Industry, got a royal treatment from the Andhra Pradesh government on Monday, with Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu going head over heels before the team.
The Singapore team was accorded rousing reception at Begumpet airport and it was taken to Rajahmundry in a special aircraft.
The AP government arranged an aerial survey of Rajahmundry and also the proposed capital area of Amaravati for the Singapore team, which later held a meeting with Naidu at a five-star hotel. The team presented the Seed Capital Area (SCA) Master Plan to the Chief Minsteri.
And Naidu expressed his heart-felt thanks to the Singapore government for its “dedication and fast pace of work” for constructing the capital city of Amaravati. And Iswaran said Singapore was honored to play its part through the master plans for Amaravati.
“However, our partnership with Andhra Pradesh will begin from this point by assisting them in the development of capital city. We will continue to collaborate on development of Amaravati,” he said.
