People of Andhra Pradesh are really amazed at the zeal with which Naidu is pursuing his goal of getting section 8 implemented in Hyderabad. And he has his entire cabinet backing him.
What baffles the people is why Naidu is unable to show the same enthusiasm in getting special status for AP.
Special Status was promised to AP by the BJP and it was Naidu’s fellow community member Venkayya Naidu who thundered in the Rajya Sabha that AP will be given special status.
Had the BJP not come to power, it would have been understandable. But when the BJP and TDP are allies, when there is a record of the promise made by the BJP to Andhra, then what is preventing Naidu from going all out against the Center to get special status for AP?
If AP gets special status, section 8 would cease to be an issue. In fact, Seemandhraites in Hyderabad and industry will shift to AP straightaway.
So why does not Naidu devote his attention to the special status promise instead? Is it because the BJP has not foisted any cases on him?
