Shift To Erragadda Will Mean No CM Post

Some time back, there was news all over media that KCR had decided to shift Telangana Secretariat to Erragadda. Given that there is the famous mental hospital, it became a topic of huge debate among political observers. Also, since the shift would mean demolition of Chest Hospital, not many were in favour of the move.

Now, ex minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy has given an open warning to Chief Minister KCR. According to Reddy, if KCR shifts his office to Erragadda, then he is bound to lose power.

He reminded KCR that the state of Telangana was formed when the Secretariat was on the banks of Hussain Sagar. Reddy said that it was not appropriate to spend crores of rupees based on some new sentiment.

He also pointed out that Erragadda not only had serious traffic problems but that it was also highly polluted and it would be unwise to shift base to such a place.

Janardhan Reddy also opined that KCR must first appoint an experts’ committee before taking a final decision. He said issuing a GO allotting Rs 150 crores is gross misuse of public funds.
