Ace tennis star from Hyderabad Sania Mirza might not be doing well in the world tennis circuits now, but she is certainly a hot favourite sports star commanding big money.
On Monday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced a grant of Rs 1 crore to tennis star Sania Mirza, who recently bagged the No. 5 in position in the double’s events in the World.
The grant is towards training, coaching and to meet other expenses to attend the US open and other tournaments.
The Chief Minister will present the cheque on Tuesday, official sources said.
