Sai Reddy Set To Revamp YSRC

The YSR Congress party is gearing up to reorient itself from grass-root level to the top in a bid to grow into a formidable force by 2019 elections.

And the task has been entrusted to V Vijay Sai Reddy, a close aide of party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and the chief auditor of the latter’s business houses.

Sai Reddy is now into full-time politics and has been made the general secretary of the YSR Congress party.

Sources say Jagan has side-lined his hitherto trusted lieutenant Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and entrusted the task of rebuilding the party to Vijay Sai Reddy.

Sources said Sai Reddy has already got into business of identifying the loopholes in the party that led to its debacle in the recent elections.

Apparently, he has come to an understanding that the constituency-level ticket aspirants and some top level leaders, too, had misled Jagan when he was in jail and saw to it that their stooges were appointed in all the local level committees.

Several non-serious elements had crept into the party hoping that YSR Congress would come to power and Jagan would become the Chief Minister. And when it did not happen, they all deserted the party in search of greener pastures.

It is learnt Sai Reddy has decided to digitalise the entire party network, so that he can monitor the functioning of party leaders even at the village level from the headquarters itself.

He will also act as an interface between Jagan and the local functionaries so that there is no communication gap.

“Hitherto, Jagan was not accessible to the local leaders. Sai Reddy wants to change this situation,” sources said.
