In a major shock to Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, senior party leader and TDP legislature party leader in Telangana Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao has declared that he would take a plunge into the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Along with Errabelli, another TDP legislator from Rajendra Nagar Prakash Goud will also join the TRS.
Errabelli and Goud met TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at his camp office on Wednesday evening.
"We are going to join the TRS at 8 am on Thursday in the presence of KCR," Errabelli told media.
With their exit, the TDP has almost become empty in the Telangana region. Out of 15 MLAs, eight MLAs would be in the TRS. If two more MLAs join, two thirds of them would be joining the ruling party and if they give a notice to the Speaker stating that there were merging the party with the TRS, they would be avoiding the disqualification.
Sources said L B Nagar MLA R Krishnaiah and another MLA Gandhi might also jump the fence into the TRS soon.
