RGV May Land Up In Jail For Contempt!

If Supreme Court takes it seriously, ace director Ram Gopal Varma might as well land up in jail for making fun of its judgement on the national anthem.

Though there were disagreements on the Supreme Court judgement making singing of national anthem compulsory in all the theatres, nobody made any harsh comments against the Supreme Court or made fun of the judgement. However, RGV directly attacked Supreme Court with his sharp comments against the apex court with his series of tweets on Thursday.

If national anthem has to be played compulsorily in theatres, why shouldn’t it be compulsorily played in all night clubs before drinking and dancing begins.

He also tweeted: “Under enforced #NationalAnthem, shouldn't every TV programme and TV serial episode and radio programmes also be playing it? Why #NationalAnthem should be restricted to only cinema halls? Why shouldn't every shop ask customer to see a video of it b4 entering shop?”

Varma did not stop at that. He said: “Shouldn’t singing of national anthem be made compulsory in temples, churches and mosques before prayers begin? Like the lead actor giving anti-tobacco message, the lead character of every film compulsorily sing national anthem twice before and after interval,” he said.

The maverick director said if at all there was an examination held on the meaning of national anthem, 99 per cent of the Indians fail. He also argued that national anthem should have been in all languages so that all Indians would understand it.

Some of his other tweets are: “Shouldn't parents and children enforce each other to sing #NationalAnthem as soon as they get up from their bed before they begin their day?”

“Shouldn't #NationalAnthem be printed on every newspaper everyday on its front page before we start reading the news from 2nd page onwards?

“Should #NationalAnthem be played even before every news report on TV that criticises our great nation's great leader’s policies?”
