Revanth To Quit MLA Seat?

Revanth To Quit MLA Seat?

If the speculations in the Telugu Desam Party are to be believed, tainted MLA from Kodangan A Revanth Reddy, who was granted bail in the 'cash for vote' scam by the High Court on Tuesday, is contemplating quitting his MLA seat in the Assembly to prove his popularity among the electorate.

According to highly placed sources, the TDP leadership has drawn up an action plan for Revanth’s comeback.

According to the plan, he will render his resignation and contest again to the Assembly from Kodangal in Mahabubnagar district.

The sources added that by doing this Revanth may want to prove that he is the best bet for the TDP in Telangana and the people of Kodangal.

If he wins with a comfortable majority, the TDP may also bank on him as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the 2019 elections in Telangana.

It will also bring pressure on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to force minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav to resign from the MLA post and contest the elections again from Sanathnagar. If Talasani loses the elections, it will be a big moral victory for the TDP.
