It looks like aggressive Telugu Desam Party MLA from Kodangal in Mahbubnagar district A Revanth Reddy is trying to bring pressure on party president N Chandrababu Naidu to declare him as No. 1 in Telangana.
On Monday, huge wall posters appeared at the TDP State office NTR Bhavan in Banjara Hills creating ripples among the party circles.
The posters, which appeared in the name of Telugu Yuvatha, appealed to party supremo Chandrababu Naidu to anoint Revanth Reddy as president of party unit in Telangana State.
The posters also urged Chandrababu Naidu to announce Revanth Reddy as president of Telangana party unit in the ensuing Mahanadu and hand over party reigns to him.
Though Revanth Reddy feigned ignorance about the posters and wanted action against those who put up posters, there is a suspicion that it was the handiwork of Revanth supporters themselves.
There is a talk among the party circles that Revanth Reddy was trying to outsmart Chandrababu Naidu in Telangana.
He virtually hijacked the show in the party meeting held in Mahbubnagar recently. A section of party leaders surmise that Revanth Reddy was keen on becoming party chief in Telangana.
Revanth observed that the party supremo knows very well how and whom to give posts among his lieutenants.
