It looks like Telugu Desam Party floor leader in Telangana A Revanth Reddy has taken a leaf out of the book of former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal in his histrionics.
Remember how Lagadapati used to hoodwink the police and the media to make sudden appearance in the agitations?
When the police were trying to arrest him after his indefinite fast, he suddenly jumped out of the van and ran into Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences during the peak of Samaikyandhra movement against Telangana formation. He played the trick several times to prove that he is a unique personality.
Revanth Reddy is also doing the same thing these days. On Monday, when he was going to Gajwel to call on the lathicharge victims of Mallannasagar submergence villages, the police tried to arrest them. Knowing this, he got down from the car quietly, walked through fields and got into some other vehicle to reach Gajwel. The police, who could not find him in his car, somehow managed to arrest him in Gajwel.
A few months ago, too, Revanth played the same trick to address a meeting at Osmania University. On coming to know that he was going to be arrested, Revanth took the pillion of a scooter, entered the campus through rear gate and reached the public meeting attacking KCR. Of course, he was arrested only after he successfully completed the speech.
