The most powerful man in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Ramoji Rao might soon be realizing his political ambitions.
Political circles are abuzz with the gossip that Ramoji is contemplating a Rajya Sabha seat too. He recently got himself an award from the Centre, Padma Vibhushan. Although he is technically based in Telangana, it was AP that nominated him for the award.
The Rajya Sabha terms of a host of people including journalist HK Dua, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Ashok Ganguly, lyricist Javed Akhtar, singer Bombay Jayashree and Congressman Mani Shankar Aiyar, are all set to expire soon.
Ramoji Rao is believed to have expressed his intention to the BJP leadership of being nominated in the journalist quota.
Well, there seems to be no problem in his way if that’s what the media baron really wants.
