The YSR Congress party is all set to receive major jolt in the Telangana region with more and more leaders deciding to quit the party to look for greener pastures.
Prominent among these YSR Congress Party leaders is P Vijaya Reddy, daughter of former Congress Legislature Party leader P Janardhan Reddy.
Vijaya is likely to resign from the YSRC and join the Telangana Rasthra Samithi on August 20.
She had joined the YSRC a couple of years ago with a lot of fanfare and declared her support to party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, though her brother P Vishnuvardhan Reddy remained in the Congress.
She lost the elections from Khairatabad recently. Now with the party becoming almost non extinct in Telangana, she has decided to join the TRS to secure her political future.
Interestingly, two other YCRC leaders Gattu Ramachandra Rao and Janak Prasad – both hardcore loyalists of Jagan and party’s mouth pieces, are also joining the TRS.
They called on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao a few days ago and formalized their defection.
