All the promised being made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu are well and good. But what is surprising is the promise of providing a 10 lakh acre land bank.
In the past, during late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s time, he had assorted 1 lakh acres of land and allotted SEZs to various companies and this created quite a stir at the time. Incidentally, TDP had opposed his moves vehemently back then.
Now, Chandra Babu is talking of 10 lakh acres. How will he procure such land and is it possible to have a land bank of 10 lakh acres? Will the ruling TDP do this without touching farm lands all over again?
It would be really nice if Andhra Pradesh government gives some clarity on the issue ASAP. Else, it is bound to throw up a lot of questions which might become uncomfortable for the party in the long run.
