Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram, who has been under attack from all sides by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders and ministers for criticising chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, has refused to yield to their attack.
Reacting strongly to the allegations that some anti-Telangana forces were behind him, Kodandaram said he had nobody behind or in front of him except people.
“The JAC is a conglomeration of people’s organisations. We only have common people behind us and I will fight for their cause in the path shown by Prof Jayashankar,” he said.
Kodandaram said he would not accept any posts or positions from the government. “And, I don’t need certificate from anybody. I will continue to struggle on issues concerning people,” he said.
Telangana TDP leader A Revanth Reddy said the TRS ministers were hounding Kodandaram like dogs.
“In fact, he has been waiting patiently for the last two years hoping that the TRS government would do something for the people. He came out openly only after the government failed to do justice to the people,” he said.
